About the Author
Marysue G Hobika grew up in Caledonia, NY and attended State University of New York at Buffalo where she studied to be a Spanish teacher. Currently she lives in Pittsford, NY with her husband, three children, and her two pugs. Marysue is from a small rural town called Caledonia, which is about 20 miles outside of Rochester, NY. Many of her ideas come from her childhood and having lived in this tight knit community. Marysue doesn’t know where this journey will take her, but she knows she will still have a lot of stories inside of her that are dying to get out. Marysue is inspired by the following: • family • friends • home town • trips • students Marysue has the following obsessions: • running • books • lulemon athletic clothes • chobani yogurts • scrapbooking • photography • my backyard

Second Chances

A classic love story of two people who find their way back to each other after believing there was no hope. A great summer read and great a storyline. I really enjoyed Theo and Stella's quest in finding out that second chances do exist.

Phenomenal!!!

This book is incredible. From the first page through to the very last, I was captivated. Every single element to this book was written to absolute perfection. The characters were believable and the plot line was descriptive and detailed.
Theo Baker and Stella Freeman have known each other ever since they became neighbours. One night, when a kiss that was said to mean nothing happened, both their lives were changed. This encounter had them avoiding each other for the past year and a half.
Now Stella is an incoming freshman at college and finally about to begin what she loves- photography.
Theo is also at Columbia pining after the sexy as hell neighbour from back home who turned his world upside down and stole his heart in the process.
Theo is the only boy Stella has ever loved. Stella is the girl who got away and the only girl who influences Theo's dreams.
What will happen when they see each other again. Will they be able to move on from the past or will the chemistry they shared when they were younger be lost forever?
I fell in love with this book. It is a story that is believable and could happen in real life. I will definitely be rereading this book in the future as well as recommending it to everyone I know. You will not regret reading this book. This is a huge 5 Star read!!!

Sweet and easy read

Stella Freeman is a young and strong girl who had a hard time the last two years of high school. She had a reputation for drinking too much and getting wasted, but in reality she isn't a bad girl.
Theo Baker has known Stella for years. He was the sexy neighbor who she ride to school with, and the only boy she has ever loved.
Now that she is ready for college and after avoiding each other for the past year and a half because of a lie, they get reunited. But, what will happen when they see each other again?
Stella is focused on doing what she loves the most, photography. Even though her parents don't think it is a real major and cut her off. And Theo is a sophomore at Columbia University, trying to forget the girl of his dreams and the kiss that changed his world.
Will they find their way back to each other? Buy Never Far Away, get comfy, enjoy and find out!
I assure you Marysue G. Hobika can write a damn good book! It might be too sweet and fast for some but, I stayed up too late because I was completely invested and lost in this sweet story. It flows beautifully and is a great book to spend an evening with.
