David M. Killoran is an expert in test preparation with over 20 years of teaching experience and a 99th percentile score on a LSAC-administered LSAT. In addition to having written the renowned PowerScore LSAT Logic Games Bible, The PowerScore LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible, and many other popular publications, Dave has overseen the preparation of countless students and founded two national LSAT preparation companies.

Steven G. Stein is a test expert who has scored in the 99th percentile on an officially administered LSAT, GMAT, and GRE, and has co-authored many books on test preparation, including PowerScore's LSAT Reading Comprehension Bible, LSAT Logical Reasoning Bible Workbook, and several volumes of PowerScore's LSATs Deconstructed Series. ESSENTIAL FOR LSAT PREP

If you are studying for the LSAT, you NEED these books! This trilogy literally has all the information you need to conquer the LSAT. Each book does an amazing job of teaching you how to conquer each section. The PowerScore method for attacking the logic game sections is by far the best method out there. Anyone who has learned a different method, I recommend that they look into the PowerScore method. Each book has drills, examples, and practice problems. They are set up so at the end of each chapter you apply what you learned to practice problems. They also have drills throughout chapters. It is interactive and easy to read and understand.

About the Author
Mark Allen Durivage has worked as a practitioner, educator, and consultant. He received an A.A.S in Computer Aided Machining from Owens Community College, a B.A.S in Computer Aided Machining from Siena Heights University, and an M.S. in Quality Management from Eastern Michigan University. Additionally, Durivage served an apprenticeship and is a journeyman mold maker. He is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) Fellow and holds several ASQ certifications including; CRE, CQE, CQA, CHA, CBA, CPGP, and CSSBB. Durivage is an active member of the ASQ Toledo Section, the ASQ Reliability Division, and the ASQ Food, Drug, & Cosmetic Division, holding several Section and Division leadership positions. Durivage and his family currently reside in Lambertville, Michigan. He is the editor of The Certified Pharmaceutical GMP Professional Handbook (ASQ Quality Press, 2014).

Japan is currently the only advanced industrial democracy with a fourth-generation immigrant problem. As other industrialized countries face the challenges of incorporating postwar immigrants, Japan continues to struggle with the incorporation of prewar immigrants and their descendants. Whereas others have focused on international norms, domestic institutions, and recent immigration, this book argues that contemporary immigration and citizenship politics in Japan reflect the strategic interaction between state efforts to control immigration and grassroots movements by multi-generational Korean resident activists to gain rights and recognition specifically as permanently settled foreign residents of Japan. Based on in-depth interviews and fieldwork conducted in Tokyo, Kawasaki, and Osaka, this book aims to further our understanding of democratic inclusion in Japan by analyzing how those who are formally excluded from the political process voice their interests and what factors contribute to the effective representation of those interests in public debate and policy.

About the Author
Erin Aeran Chung is the Charles D. Miller Assistant Professor of East Asian Politics and Co-Director of the Racism, Immigration, and Citizenship (RIC) Program in the Department of Political Science at The Johns Hopkins University. Previously, she was an Advanced Research Fellow at Harvard University's Program on US-Japan Relations and a Japan Foundation Fellow at Saitama University in Urawa, Japan. Her articles on citizenship, noncitizen political engagement, and comparative racial politics have been published in the Du Bois Review and Asian Perspective. In 2009, she was awarded an Abe Fellowship by the Social Science Research Council to conduct research in Japan and Korea for her second book project on immigrant incorporation in ethnic democracies.

I. Does it represent/portray and do it well?

It is realistic in its portrayal of teenage fixation and different kinds of relationships. Almost all manga characters are Japanese and living in Japan, if you want to count that as representation/diverse-reading.

II. Does it teach me something or make me think?

It makes me worry very much about how it’s going to end and it makes me reflect on my own behaviors as a teenager.

III. Does it perpetuate healthy ideals?

There was a moment where girlhood was stereotyped and another where I was worried that the male protagonist was going to be written as violent, but these things seemed to be reflective the culture they’re written in and fleeting/momentary. Most manga tends to have problematic elements and while this is not forgivable, it’s extremely rare not to see it. On another note, I really love what it is saying about relationships thus far.

IV. How was the writing itself? (Style, plot, characters, ease of reading, pace, world-building.)

The plot is OUTSTANDING. This almost reverse-shoujo idea is really refreshing, funny, and fun. I could not get enough of this first volume and read it with gusto. I love the uniqueness of anti-shipping rather than shipping. The characters are developed throughout the volume (with the exception of the Hatori’s female best friend who we’ve been taught a little about, but not enough yet) and are all likable. The writing is just enough.

V. Did I enjoy reading it?

SO MUCH. This is a masochistic type of story so far, but so refreshing. The situation is real and common, and yet I find myself laughing instead of crying. I hope that the story continues in this same tone.
